The Global Commercial Services US Large Market Client Group manages strategic corporate payment relationships with clients, including many multi-national organizations and acquires new corporate payments customers with revenue over $300M. This Vice President, of Account Development is responsible for leading a team of client management professionals who are charged with the deepening strategic account relationships and growing the corporate payments spend in the portfolio.

* Provides strategic recommendations and solutions to assist clients in optimizing their travel and procurement spend/investment through process improvement, purchasing savings and employee productivity

* Develops and executes strategies to strengthen senior client relationships, identifying gaps in relationship stacking and strategies to bridge them

* Develops strategies to strengthen GCP value proposition for clients, including global capabilities, analytics, benchmarking, and program optimization opportunities

* Utilizes innovation to overcome complex client barriers, resolve escalated issues, and manage internal stakeholders

* Ensures delivery of prompt and expert account servicing and management

* Partners & influences across Business Development, Product Marketing, Contracts, Pricing, Finance, Operations and other internal groups to deliver strong value proposition to client base

* Develops and executes a portfolio growth strategy, adapting plans and priorities to address resource/ operational challenges

* Facilitates collaboration with sales to ensure consistent, orchestrated client experience

* Hires, trains, coaches, and manages a team of direct reports as payment experts

* Achieves portfolio retention, profitability, and CV growth targets

* Sells with integrity, in alignment with compliance and internal partner business requirements

* Partners well with internal resources to identify opportunities and continue to improve

* Identifies larger opportunities and lays out high level achievement plans

* Leads through trust, transparency and collaboration to build highly engaged team

* Removes logistical roadblocks to client service

Are you up for the challenge?


* Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred

* This is a virtual position and requires the candidate to reside in the Eastern US within close proximity of a major airport

* Able to travel 50% of the time to meet with team and clients

* Demonstrated ability to manage virtual teams; with proven reputation of strong people- leadership, coaching, and development

* Preferred experience leading sales and account development teams

* Experienced in driving strong results in a highly competitive marketplace

* Knowledge of payables, finance, and procurement preferred

* Ability to communicate value and develop mutually beneficial relationships with external clients

* Background in complex negotiations and leading large meetings

* Exceptional communication and public speaking skills
