**Role Summary:**

The Senior Project Planning Manager demonstrates accountability for Project Planning & Scheduling functional, business, and broad company objectives in the domain of Turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) project tendering and execution.


**Essential Responsibilities:**

As the Senior Project Planning Manager, you will:


+ Utilize your expertise in supporting reviews of new opportunities, supporting the Enterprise Risk Assessment across the GE projects portfolio

+ Monitor the performance and execution of active high-risks projects, working collaboratively with the Tier 2 businesses on effective mitigations and business strategies

+ Promote best practices and tools for complex projects execution

+ Develop and maintain standard scheduling processes from tender / proposal through project execution across GE's tier 1 and tier 2 businesses that include the establishment of key metrics to support the processes

+ Be responsible for implementing the scheduling processes across GE's Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) Projects community

+ Develop and deliver training materials in support of the new scheduling processes

+ Provide rapid response support to businesses managing troubled projects


**Qualifications/Requirements:**


+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 8 years of direct experience in Planning and Scheduling for EPC projects)

+ Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in EPC projects

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Planning and Scheduling

+ Minimum of 3 years using / proficient in Primavera P6


**ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:**


+ Ability and willingness to travel extensively


**Desired Characteristics:**


+ Experience with Primavera Risk Analyzer

+ Strong influencing and relationship building skills at all levels

+ Strong project management skills in a matrix and multiple business environment

+ Knowledge of project execution risks and financial processes

+ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

+ Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to succinctly communicate complex messages

+ Demonstrated ability to lead in an unstructured environment and deliver results

+ Demonstrated ownership / accountability, judgment and decision making, influences and inspires team, creates a vision and strategy, and has passion for the role

+ Global experience and mindset, including high cultural competence and sensitivity
