**Role Summary:**

GE Solar is seeking an experienced energy storage business development professional who brings high degree of technical proficiency and understanding of energy storage systems, applications and related value marketing of power and energy outputs.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

This role sits at intersection of project analysis, customer need assessment, project development and sales to help GE Solar develop storage and solar plus storage solutions that solve its C&I and small utility customer needs to increase their use of competitive sources of clean generations. Candidates will:

o Understand and have technical and economic knowledge about various energy storage types, vendor solutions, pricing, behavior and economics

o Work with both internal and external teams to identify the most competitive technologies and products.

o Guide GE Solar's development of commercial and technical solutions for storage and solar-plus-storage offerings to customers that lead to increased savings and improve GE scope and level of service to meet customer needs

o Keep pulse on technology developments, integration costs and pricing trends which inform customer economic analysis and proforma

o Develop commercial agreements and construct marketable financing options for behind-the-meter energy storage projects leveraging customer-sourced or market-based revenue streams

o Act as the lead advisor within the team to guide financial modeling of storage and solar plus storage solutions

o Monitor competitors and business models offering energy storage in relevant markets

o Track regulations, incentives and market rules to help prioritize geographies and market segments where storage projects make the strongest case to customers and investors


o Bachelor's Degree with business or engineering focus from an accredited university or college

o At least 2 years of direct sales experience working within the battery energy storage business

o Minimum of 5 years of work experience within the solar industry primarily focused on C&I projects serving behind the meter loads

Eligibility Requirements:

o Ability to travel 20% of time as needed to meet customers and support project development

**Desired Characteristics:**

o Demonstrated proficiency and solid analytical skills to drive financial modeling of energy storage assets and associated, relevant revenue streams

o Knowledge about energy storage control and dispatch that optimizes value of storage for project investor and host

o Experience or exposure working within ISO markets transacting energy or capacity products, or, within utility distribution level demand response markets will be valued

o Ability to invoke energy market transaction and pricing knowledge into analysis and proposals for client benefit

o Extensive knowledge of battery energy storage technology

o Passion for educating customers and experience working closely with energy users and utility clients

o Ability to manage ambiguous situations in a complex environment required

o Knowledge of general office management and current computer / office communications technologies

o Expert in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook

o Self-Starter, proactive, ability to work independently with minimal direction

o Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle matters discreetly

o Superior time management and organizational skills

o Effective problem solver

o Ability to effectively interact and communicate with senior level management and corporate contacts

o Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills including strong grammatical skills

o Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a globally diverse team across different time zones

o Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines
