**Role Summary:**

GE Power is seeking an accomplished communicator to join the Global Supply Chain communications team. The Communications Manager, Global Supply Chain will partner closely with the Global Supply Chain Communications Leader and leaders across the Global Supply Chain function; and will have knowledge and experience in the energy industry and/or supply chain function, along with knowledge and experience planning, implementing and measuring restructuring and union related communications.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

GE Power is seeking an accomplished communicator to join our Global Supply Chain communications team. We're looking for a passionate communications practitioner with strong internal and external communications skills, who is willing to push themselves and the team to try new things. This individual will be a key driver of the company's restructuring activities, responsible for setting the strategic direction for our approach to and delivery of restructuring communications. This individual will also lead communications related to union relations, developing and executing content that can be leveraged by our union manufacturing sites in the U.S.

As the Communications Manager, Global Supply Chain, you will:

+ Lead and execute global communications plans related to restructuring and union relations, with the intent to minimize disruption to the business as well as with the media

+ Partner with and provide strategic counsel to Global Supply Chain leaders to drive alignment and engagement around communications programs (includes hands-on support for internal and external presentations)

+ Use different channels to effectively communicate global supply chain storylines, internally and externally, including feature stories, key speaking engagements / events, and social media

+ Translate global supply chain strategy into cohesive narrative and key message platform to proactively drive internal alignment

+ Work with HQ, P&L and regional teams to develop actionable and cohesive storytelling toolkits to maximize exposure and impact of proactive communications programs

+ Partner with HR and labor relations team to drive communications for union negotiations

+ Partner with the culture communications and external communications COEs to lead internal and external efforts related to Global Supply Chain and manage potential and actual business issues and crises

+ Monitor message pull-through and measure message effectiveness and impact

+ Manage external vendors as appropriate


+ Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Writing, English, Communication, PR or related discipline from an accredited university or college

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal / external communications
